I think it's already done, LTE equipments deployed by Verizon ...

Hi,

at least AT&T, Verizon, MetroPCS, and Sprint (sorry, if I missed some) provide LTE service in the US.

LTE-capable devices are available from several device manufacturers (e.g. Apple, Samsung, Motorola, LG, Pantech, HTC, Nokia and probably several others aswell to choose from).
